What we believe...
Claremont Bible Chapel is a gathering of Christians who believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1). We believe in the diety of Jesus Christ (John 8:58), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14), His substitutionary death for the sins of men (Romans 5:8), and His bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:4).
We believe in the forgiveness of sins through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:25), that all who believe become members of His Church (Acts 2:47), that He is coming again to rapture the living saints and raise those who are dead in Christ (John 14:3), and that later He will come again to establish His kingdom upon the earth (Matthew 24:30).
Knowing God
The Bible tells us that we have been separated from God and therefore, need to be brought back to Him. What about you: where do you stand?

The Lord Jesus Christ left us with one simple request: to remember Him in His death. What does that mean?

The head of the church is Christ - no one else may take His position. Read more about what the Bible has to say about what leadership is in the church. (page coming soon)

Salvation
"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." - John 3:36
God’s offer of salvation through Christ is open for universal acceptance. It is made without any mental reserve on God’s part. “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men” (Titus 2:11). Salvation has been made Divinely simple, by believing on the Son. “There is no other Savior, or Mediator between God and man."
Christ is the only way! (John 14:6) Jesus Christ is the only one God has anointed and consecrated to be the Savior of mankind. He is the only way by which we can come to God, the only method by which we can reach God. Christ spans the distance between God and the sinner. Those who believe on the Son of God have everlasting life as a present possession. Eternal life is not only mere existence but also a relationship with the living God. All those who believe are engrafted into the heavenly family. ”But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).
A child of God can never be separated from His Heavenly Father because the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord is our mutual bond. The union, which is made between God and His children, can ever be dissolved He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Breaking of Bread
When a person who is dear to us passes away, we remember them by having a memorial of some sort. Usually, this memorial helps us honor and remember the person in their life. There is a Person who is more dear and most worthy of a memorial than anyone else. Mark 10:45 tells us that “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." 1 Peter 2:24 tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ “bore our sins in His own body on the tree.” “The wages of sin is death” and this is a debt which we can never pay off but the Lord Jesus took our place on the cross of Calvary and paid the punishment for our sins. The Bible states that salvation does not come by doing good works or by an other means. Salvation only comes through the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 states “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Nothing on our part must be done to earn salvation. It is a gift of God that comes by faith in the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we have sinned against God, and that the Lord Jesus’ payment for our sins on the cross is sufficient for our forgiveness. The night before His crucifixion, the Lord Jesus met with His disciples, those who followed Him and with whom He had fellowship. After their dinner, the Lord Jesus took two items, bread and wine, and after praying, passed it to each of the disciples. He told them the bread was a symbol of His body which was soon to be given for them. The Bible teaches us that “without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.” The wine was a symbol of His blood which would be shed for them. “Do this in remembrance of Me" was His command to His disciples. So then, how is this rememberance observed? The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11:27-29: “Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.” The Apostle is teaching that if one is living in sin, the sin must be confessed to the Lord and forsaken before one may partake of the emblems (bread and wine) in remembrance of the Lord Jesus. Furthermore, the remembrance is only for Christians. An unbeliever may watch, but he or she is not to partake during the meeting. Returning to our earlier allegory of a memorial, how can one remember a person who they did not know? Similarly, the breaking of bread is a time for Christians to remember the Lord Jesus in His death on the cross.
The difference in this memorial is clear though: He is risen!

Girls' Thursday Night Teens
Becoming Godly women...
Girls' Thursday Night Teens (or TNT) is a weekly activity for teenage girls. Lead by some of the women from Claremont Bible Chapel, we meet every Thursday night and spend time studying the Bible, asking questions, and discussing things about our faith and lives. We also have many activities - for example, we recently hosted a tea for our mothers at the chapel. TNT is for girls between 6th to 12th grade and will help you grow closer to God through His word and through fellowship with other girls just like you! If you have any questions, please let us know here and we will respond as soon as possible.
Vacation Bible School, June 18-22
Fun is in session... and its free!
Vacation Bible School is a ministry for children to help them learn about God and the Bible. Every year, many different Vacation Bible Schools take place during a week in the summer in many different locations. Although some may have different themes, almost all Vacation Bible schools are conducted the same way. Since most children are out of school for the summer, this is a great way for children to spend part of their summer. At Vacation Bible School, children take part in many different activities. Students are divided into groups (or classes) depending on age. Each student has one teacher for the entire week of VBS. With their teacher, each class goes through a lesson from the Bible each day. Following their lesson, each class then rotates to their next activity. Activities include craft making, sports and games (with snacks), singing, and finally, at the end of each day, all students of every age meet together to hear another lesson from the Bible. It is our desire to teach everyone about the Lord Jesus Christ and His great love and sacrifice for our sins. The Bible tells us “that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” and “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (1 Timothy 1:15, Romans 10:9). The gospel message is very simple: ”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) If you have any questions about any of these things, please ask us!
There's no cost to attend VBS. It's totally free! There are games, snacks, singing, and friends! If you'd like to register, send us a request and we'll send you the form.
You can find our contact information here.
